Liv's class was in her school talent show tonight. They danced to, and some sang, a traditional Canadian / Native American folk song, Land Of The SIlver Birch. It was very sweet and Liv was so proud to be a part of it. We were so far away and the lighting was so poor that we didn't get any great pictures. Here are a couple and if you click on each photo it will enlarge for a better view.
Land of the silver birch, home of the beaver,
Where still the mighty moose wanders at will,
Blue lake and rocky shore,
I will return once more.
Refrain:
Boom de de boom boom
Boom de de boom boom
Boom de de boom boom
Bo-o-o-o-m
Down in the forest, deep in the lowlands,
My heart cries out for thee, hills of the north,
Blue lake and rocky shore,
I will return once more. (Refrain)
Land of the silver birch, home of the beaver,
Where still the mighty moose wanders at will.
Blue lake and rocky shore,
I will return once more. (Refrain)
Better you than me.. I'm so glad our group never made it to the talent show.. :^)
